Ricky has made a solid start to his Elite league debut with Wolverhampton Wolves. He has competed in three official meetings for his new side and has scored points in all three matches starting with a score of 5 points at near neighbours Birmingham in a challenge meeting. He followed that up with 4 points in the return leg at home against the same opponents.
The first official Elite league meeting of the season saw Wolves go down heavily at Eastbourne but Ricky excelled with a creditable paid 9 points from the reserve position in the team and getting the better of more experienced home riders on only his second visit to the tight turns of the Eagles home circuit.
Speaking after the Eastbourne meeting Wells was happy with his nights work. He added: “Things are going good for me right now. We have found a good set-up with these new silencers while other guys seem to be struggling with them. The team suffered a heavy loss but I just kept battling away on scored points in all of my races apart from running a last in my fifth ride.”
Ricky’s next meeting is again away from home when the Wolves travel down to London to take on Lakeside on another tight circuit. The meeting is again an Elite league meeting and takes place on Friday April 1st.
