AMERICAN World Cup rider Ricky Wells has completed a new deal to stay with Wolverhampton.

The Californian, who won the Rider of the Year award from supporters at the end of last season, joins Adam Skornicki, Freddie Lindgren and Jacob Thorssell in the 2013 Parrys International Wolves side.

Wells is currently back in California for Christmas but is delighted to finalise his deal.

He said: "Wolves was the only place I wanted to be in the Elite League next season. I'm really excited about going back there."

Wells is also in talks with Sheffield about a second successive season in the Premier League under the double-up rule - and once that is complete Wolves will open talks with his parent club Coventry about a permanent deal.

Parrys International Wolves owner Chris Van Straaten said: "We are delighted to welcome Ricky back for the 2013 season.

"I can confirm he is also in negotiations with Sheffield about a Premier League place and once those negotiations have been completed we will look to open negotiations with Coventry regarding his contract.

"He is a firm favourite with the supporters and had a fine season with us, he feels confident he can improve further."
